It’s been a huge year for Summoners’ Society admins, team leaders, and our CEO Keshia.
We’ve made a new partnership with Gravitas, ran a giant 1v1 tournament at Smash, and helped Riot at PAX to celebrate their 10 year birthday.
The Gravitas team has been instrumental in helping Summoners’ Society bring you better tournaments, rewards, and communicating with you all more efficiently. You can read more about that here.
Meeting all of you at our live events reminds us why we do this every day. Seeing you all still passionately playing League of Legends, and how excited you get to meet us, interact and play games is why we do this. Whether you just dropped by to say hello, bought some fan art, played in our casual 1v1 or in our official mega-1v1 event on the day, it was great to meet so many of you. You can rest assured you’ll see us at Smash in 2020.
Speaking of events, PAX 2019 was an experience we will never forget. As Riot asked us to help make some noise and celebrate with them and the community at PAX we had no idea what we were in store for – but we had a blast! Dancing down the halls giving away swag, pins, and being met with smiles was so much fun for all of us. All of Riot Games’ reveals the following Wednesday had the community reeling, and really helped us understand how much Riot appreciated their community too.
Although there were some major events and tournaments this year, there were also regular and smaller things we did for you throughout every month. I’d like to share the awards we gave our admins and ask the community to congratulate them on their contribution to making your experiences this year a blast.
The Drake Awards went to 4 Admins who stood out to our Team Leaders, and one who was voted for by the entire admin team.
Thank you for being a part of our community, and we hope you enjoy this month full of festivities! We look forward to an even better year in 2020.
